Life is an origami.
1. Take a sheet of paper. Although it seems, white is not a color : it is instead the whole expression of light interacting with our eyes. Life is approximatively the same : although you can perceive it as a whole, it will always be the result of its complexity interacting with ourselves.
If just one wavelength is absorbed or obstructed, results will have a different shade.
2. Fold the top right corner to the center. The first instinct that we experience as living being is a motion toward our center of the world : a mother's bosom.
3. Repeat step 2 for the other three corners. Each step of our struggle to reach maturity is marked by the relationship with our centre : infants, children, teenagers and young men will build their personality on their primary linkages to this world.
4. Crease well. Every page, every origami and every life will have its own crease mapping, it doesn't have to be a fault. Just prevent them from paralyzing the whole process.
5. Now fold the flap up as indicated by the dotted line. Surprisingly enough, there is always a dotted line to follow. But first you have to know what a dot is.
6. Repeat step 5 for the other three sides. Even more sursprisingly is the fact that this dotted line will show up in 3 or 4 spheres of your life (preferably in the most important ones).
7. Flip paper over. And then, as soon as ideas about that stubborn dotted line will get clearer..voilà : life will flip you over!
8. Now fold the outer layer on the indicated dotted line below. No worries, that spectacular thrashing was nothing but a way to show you other dotted lines..an origami is never an easy process, but it is certainly a fascinating hobby.
9. Repeat Step 10 for the other 3 sides. In case the thrashing should spill into multiple important spheres of your life, do not panic : once you fold the paper in the wrong way the whole origami will look a bit crooked, but few things are truly irreparable.
10. Finally, we'll fold the last layer on the dotted lines indicated below. I know, dotted lines can become a cliché !
11. ..and your origami lotus blossom is complete! And it will certainly be gorgeous and worth all this folding and unfolding..
Ps these instructions are actually the ones to create a beautiful lotus blossom ,
which according to a buddhist conception is the symbol of purity, beauty, majesty, grace, fertility, wealth, richness, knowledge and serenity.
In other words, hardly anything!
