Des nuages lourdes, mais encore blanches.. |
If you pay a visit to the group of islands that lays in the southern part
of the Siam Gulf
(Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, Ko Tao)
my advice would be to stay in Samui for the time needed for
the transfer from the airport to the pier,
as it is the most touristic, crowded and commercial out of the three islands.
Once you get to Ko Phangan
the same argument can be used for Had Riin,
the main village where most of the boats dock
and where the biggest raves and music festivals are
(see : Full Moon Party)
which turn this tiny village into a meeting point for
drug dealers
stoned tourists
thai mafias
and spicy spring rolls.
Therefore my idea is to head east,
ask one of the (expensive) taxi boats on the eastern beach of Had Riin
and set sail to Had Yuan,
which is a lovely and quiet spot just 10 mins away by boat
that will give you the right welcome to the island,
charge your batteries with good vibes, great landscape,
amazing food and several parties
...
It will be your choice later on
whether to move on and discover the island
to use it as your base
or to find your own dimension there.
In any case..... enjoy !
