#Taskimsquate to #Milan (Castello Square)
#OccupyGezi we are all with you!!
Yesterday the turkish community filled up Castello Square in Milan,
explaining what the #OccupGezi is about
and the main request seems to be democracy.
In fact Prime Minister Erdogan is a democratically elected leader,
but under his direction democracy has lost many of its grounds :
freedom to speech
freedom of expression in the media
right to protest against government's decisions
right to discuss and negotiate public policies
freedom to choose how much religion will impact your life
and eventually freedom to gather in a park
without fearing water cannons, tear gas and pepper spray.
