Day 216

I've always admired the tendency birds have
-particularly pigeons-
for the symbols of
power, history and religion.

Sweat, money and wars have built
the statues that they use as miradouros
and the view for us , normal human beings,
is usually payed nice amounts of money
( eg. the scientific miracle called elevator will bring you on the top of the Monumento alla Patria in Rome, where you'll enjoy the Citta Eterna spread below you eyes, caressed by the Tevere breeze, with 7 euros less in your pocket)

In fact, birds have the chance to see great things.
And I am not specifically talking about the great American Eagle ,
which cuts the winds of the Grand Canyon chasing freedom ( and rabbits).
For example, pigeons are the least respected birds on this planet.
But they can take a break on the peaks of the Empire State or the Tour Eiffel,
take advantage of the chinese groups of tourists and enjoy a free aperitivo
In front of the Duomo or poo on the major banks and Parliaments whenever they want.

Well, a pugeon is a bit hardcore,
but next life I could apply for being
a seagull..or a swallow maybe.
