Day 33

Sometimes silence is needed.
But c'mon,
let's admit that listening
is much more exciting
especially when it comes to eavesdropping.

And in New York city the source of randomly captured
fragments of noise is certainly unlimited.

And this is were the history of Daniel J. Wilson starts.
Half taxi driver half artist
(and 100 per cent creatively curious)
he decided to do justice to the thousands and thousands of words
that everyday are overheard
- but forgot -

He decided to record his passengers' conversations,
mix them
and propose them again to his customers
in the form of a newyorquese soundtrack for rushed newyorkers.

....the reaction?
Some call it art,
some smile at their own delirium,
some fall in love with the voice of a stranger
..and some call their lawyers!

But no matter what the different reactions are,
Daniel's yellow cab is becoming well-known
and personally I would love if on my way to the office
I had the chance to be a fragment of NY's soundtrack.

Here you can find a video about this pop - driver.

A toast to great ideas!
